3 Sweet Peas Giveaways - Week 2

This week, 3 Sweet Peas will be giving away a fitted diaper and fleece longie set! The winner, chosen on February 8th, will have their choice of size for the set. As always, measure your baby before ordering or choosing size.

This coordinating set would be an adorable addition to your cloth diaper stash. The fitted diaper shell has two layers of flannel with a zorb soaker sewn in. The snap-in inserts together add another 4 layers of flannel and 2 layers of zorb. It's cut from the Fattycakes diaper pattern with snaps that close at the hip, zigzag elastic, and serged edges. This fitted has a trim fit with moderate absorbency. The retail price on this fitted diaper in the 3 Sweet Pea shop ranges from $12 to $18 depending on size.

Measurements (W=waist, T=thigh, R=rise):
Small: W (10"-18") T (6"-10") R (12"-14")
Medium: W (12"-22") T (7"-14") R (14"-16")
Large: W (14"-24") T (8"-15") R (16"-18")
Some fabrics stretch more than others. Cotton interlock fabric will have more range.

The coordinating fleece longie is a wonderful cover or pair of pants. There are cuffs at the ankle and matching waistline. The tushie side has a longer rise to cover your baby's diaper. Fleece is a breathable fabric that repels liquid, which makes it a great, affordable fabric for diaper covers. It's easy to care for because it can be washed with normal laundry. Longies similar to this pair retail in the 3 Sweet Peas shop for $8-$10.

Measurements (W=waist, R=rise, Inseam varies):

Small: W(12"-15") R(15"-18")
Medium: W (14"-17") R (16"-19")
Large: W (16"-19") R (17"-20")
Extra long rise adds 1-2" and is available upon request.

3+ month review: Bitti D'Lish

As we approach the half year mark of cloth diapering our third little one, we're also coming up on the 3+ month mark of most of my favorite diapers. At this point, I do have additional comments on how these brands have held up to regular wear and wash.

Itti Bitti D'Lish SIO Follow-up Review

After several months of regular use, these are holding up very well. The cover is as soft as ever. The stay dry inner is a nice break for my daughter who usually feels wet in her other fitteds. I haven't found myself getting annoyed with snapping in the soakers like I thought I would. There is no pilling of the material. The snaps and elastic are all in perfect shape. Obviously, these are pretty good quality.

While they are still a main staple of my stash, I'm sad to say that my daughter might grow out of them soon. The four I purchased are size large. I was hoping she'd get more use out of them. She's 8 months old now and I don't imagine she will be able to wear them much past a year. However, if she thins out when she starts walking, we might just get some more use out of them.

3+ month review: Piddle Poddle

WAHM Wares by Piddle Poddles

Piddle Poddles are one of my favorite fitted brands. They are generous one size diapers with a fold down rise. I started my 5 month old out in the larger rise size so I can't comment on it with smaller babies. The diapers have held up well to regular use. The fabric is pilling on the exterior, as all cottons do. The velour on the interior is holding up well. The sherpa between the soakers is still soft although very pilly. Snaps and elastic are all still perfect. The serged edge has no fraying or loose strings.

I still reach for these fitteds every day. I love the patterns and they work really well. I believe these diapers are well worth the price I paid for them and I would recommend them to anyone looking for bamboo fitteds.

3+ month review: Bumblebunz

As we approach the half year mark of cloth diapering our third little one, we're also coming up on the 3+ month mark of most of my favorite diapers. At this point, I do have additional comments on how these brands have held up to regular wear and wash.

WAHM Wares by Bumblebunz; Bamboo fitteds

WAHM Wares by Bumblebunz; Nighttime inserts

What can I say? I love our Bumblebunz (Bumblebunzes? Bumblebunzi? What is the plural of Bumblebunz anyway?). I love love love the bamboo fitteds and I haven't found a night time system that works better than the bamboo baby loops system she made for us. The exterior of the fitteds are pilling, as all cotton and bamboo interlocks do. The bamboo velour inners are quite as silky as when they were brand new, but they're still very soft and luxurious. My little one always chooses to do her business in the Bumblebunz and I would too if I had that nice cushy fabric next to my tush!

I do believe they have shrunk slightly in the washing and drying, but that makes them all the more absorbent as well. My little chunker, who fits on the highest rise on all one size diapers, still has plenty of room to grow in these fitteds. I love the patterns and matching snap colors so I'm happy we get to use them for quite a while still.

I can't say enough good things about this night time insert system. I pair it with some type of fitted shell (it doesn't matter which) and cover it with some kind of PUL cover. She stays dry all night long and the fabric doesn't get stiff like some types of bamboo tend to do. Bumblebunz owner, Katie, doesn't stock these inserts in her shops but if you request them, she will probably set up a custom order for you. Tell her I sent you!

3+ month review: Nana's Bottoms

As we approach the half year mark of cloth diapering our third little one, we're also coming up on the 3+ month mark of most of my favorite diapers. At this point, I do have additional comments on how these brands have held up to regular wear and wash.

You can read my previous Nana's Bottoms review here:

WAHM Wares by Nana's Bottoms

At first, I was not impressed with these AIO diapers. They leaked around the leg or wicked through the H&L stitching. However, I have completely changed my attitude towards these diapers. After lots of washing and drying, the zorb interior has become so absorbent that we no longer have any leaks or wicking. The H&L is super easy to use so it's a favorite with other changers, like my husband and the sitter. My only wear and tear complaint is that the H&L is tending to curl at the edges, but this is purely cosmetic.

I reach for these diapers often. They are usually the first to be worn after a washing day. They are trim, absorbent, and easy to use. How can you not love them? They're size mediums and are definitely looking smaller on my daughter, but we still have room for her to grow in them. I will be watching the Nana's Bottoms store for deals so I can snag some larges. This brand is one of the only two brands of AIOs that I have found that actually work. I highly recommend!!
